SEASON OF DEATHS IN NOLLYWOOD

Reports emerged last week that popular Nigerian actor, Saint Obi, passed on at the age of 57 after a protracted illness.

It was reported that he died early last week after battling an undisclosed illness for several months with no successful treatment.

Also on Sunday, popular Yoruba actor, Murphy Afolabi, died in a bathroom accident.

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has commiserated with Nollywood fans, friends and families of the late Afolabi.

Adeleke, in a statement by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, on Monday in Osogbo, described the late Afolabi as a good ambassador of Osun who dedicated his life through his acting prowess to upholding the ethos of Omoluabi.
