TERRY G PICKS WIZKID AS BEST ARTISTE

Veteran controversial singer, Gabriel Oche Amanyi, popularly known as Terry G, has again sent the internet abuzz by naming Wizkid as the greatest Nigerian music artiste of all time.

He, however, maintained his earlier position from last month, saying that Burna Boy is currently the biggest at the moment.

He posted, “Concerning what I said on the Honest Bunch Podcast that was posted a few weeks ago, my take still stands. Yeah, currently, Burna is the biggest, but when it comes to all-timers, I’ll give it to Wiz. Y’all can’t deny the works and the legendary status he built for himself. WIZ is HIM!!!

“Not posting Wiz to chase clout, just reminiscing all he’s done for the CULTURE!!! I’m content with what I have worked for, lol… but He’s HIM, I repeat!!!

In the April-released podcast, Terry G gave his position about the ace musicians, Davido included.

“The Wizkid vs. Davido debate, to me, is lame. Davido is the king of Africa. He has an African audience. He sings unapologetic African music,” Terry G had said in Pidgin English.

However, the singer was quick to distinguish Wizkid’s musical approach from that of Burna Boy, whom he hailed as the true “king” with both continental and international appeal.

“But Wizkid’s mindset is targeted at crossover. His music no dey too relate to us (Africans).

“Burna Boy na im get Africa and International. He is their king. Burna pass two of them,” Terry G asserted.
