Famous for the Kabiyesi role in The Village Headmaster, Nigeria’s longest running television soap opera shown on NTA from 1968 to 1988 that stars Justus Esiri and Femi Robinson.

Dejumo Lewis is a famous Nigerian film, actor, filmmaker, and as well as director. He has been in the industry for more than two decades now. Actor Lewis has been described as one of the best, favorite and oldest actors of his time. 

He came into the limelight after he acted as Kabiyesi in The Village Headmaster, Nigeria’s longest-running television soap opera.

Actor Lewis was born in Lagos State, where he had his primary school education. 

Having completed his primary school education, he then proceeded to St Gregory’s college where he obtained his Secondary School Certification Of Education (SSCE). 

He grew up into a catholic home and his parent were devoted Christians. Lewis involved himself in different church activities. Lewis however, began to develop his interest for Priesthood. Lewis went to the seminary school after spending 10 years in the seminary.

Nevertheless, Lewis applied and got admission into the University of Ibadan where he obtained a degree in Arts Communication.

Having left the seminary, he then dives into the movie industry and began to pursue his career as an actor.

Dejumo Lewis was first employed as a programmer before he finally made up his mind to joined the entertainment industry. He joined the industry in the early 80s, he was featured in minor roles before he got promoted into supporting roles. 

The talented and distinguished actor has starred in both Yoruba and English-speaking Nigeria movies.

Actor Dejumo Lewis is highly talented, creative, gifted and can interpret his role perfectly well, he can therefore be best fitted into any role given to him by the movie producer or director. He has been nominated several times and of course, won the City People Movie Lifetime Achievement Award. Today, the veteran actor has been described as one of the best, favorite, and most sought actor after actors in the industry.
