TOYIN REFUTES DATING OBASANJO, LADOJA

Veteran Nollywood actress Toyin Afolayan, popularly known as Yeye Toyin Tomato, has opened up about the emotional toll of public judgment and rumors surrounding her personal life.

In a recent interview, the veteran actress revealed that constant accusations and name calling, even within places of worship, have deeply affected her.
“People call me ashawo even in church. They say I dated Ladoja, Akala, even Obasanjo,”she said, referencing former Nigerian leaders she’s been falsely linked to over the years.
She emphasised that these rumors are baseless but have become part of the stigma she now endures in public and private circles.

Toyin Tomato also disclosed that the constant scrutiny has discouraged her from pursuing marriage again.

“I can’t remarry again,”she said, citing emotional exhaustion and the societal backlash she faces as key reasons.
Despite the challenges, the actress maintains her strength and grace, continuing to focus on her family and her work in Nollywood.
