VETERAN BROADCASTER, OGUNYEMI, DIES

The broadcasting industry has lost a legend with the passing of Alagba Yemi Ogunyemi, a renowned veteran broadcaster.

Ogunyemi, best known for anchoring the popular Yoruba TV quiz programme “Ẹ Ń BÁ LÁYÀ” on NTA Ibadan, left an indelible mark on Nigerian television.

He also hosted the traditional alternative dispute resolution TV programme “AGBORANDUN” on NTA Ibadan.

Ogunyemi’s illustrious career included serving as Officer in Charge of NTA Oyo before his retirement.

Beyond broadcasting, Ogunyemi held significant traditional roles, including serving as the Baálẹ̀ Oluyole and Vice President of The Council of Traditional Baales Ibadanland.

His contributions to preserving Yoruba tradition and culture earned him widespread respect.

As a custodian of Yoruba heritage, his legacy will continue to inspire future generations in broadcasting and beyond.
