WNTV ALUMNI EULOGIES FAROUNBI

The Chairman of the WNTV Alumni Association, Engr. Yomi Bolarinwa has highlighted some of the attributes that distinguish Dr. Yemi Farounbi, making him a giant in the Broadcast Industry.

In a statement released, he said Dr. Farounbi is ‘humble, very efficient and painstaking in the production of content’.

Engineer Bolarinwa excitedly recalls that he was recruited to NTA Ibadan in 1975 by the Media Guru.

On behalf of the board of Trustees and the Management board of the Alumni, as well as all members of the association, the Alumni Chairman recalls with gratitude all Dr. Farounbi has done and is doing to properly position the WNTV Alumni.

Engr Bolarinwa also noted the immense contributions the celebrant has made to the development of Broadcasting nationally.

It is widely noted that from the early days at the Western Nigeria Television (WNTV/WNBS) in Ibadan in 1968, Dr. Farounbi’s career has been a testament to innovation and leadership. As General Manager for NTA Ibadan and NTA Akure, he spearheaded transformative projects that set new standards in  Television broadcasting.

Dr. Yemi Farounbi is very versatile. He is a sophisticated politician, a bold and astute social commentator, a seasoned Diplomat and a man of Faith.

We join well wishers all over the world to rejoice with this very unique personality who turns 80 today, October 1, 2024 as Nigeria also celebrates her Independence Day anniversary.

We wish the Octogenarian Media expert many happy, joyous and glorious returns in good health in Jesus Name.
