In a recent interview Mr Aloba granted, it was alleged that he said his son was bullied and killed by Naira Marley’s associate, Sam Larry, on the instruction of Oba Elegushi.
The traditional ruler has since dissociated himself from Sam Larry and refuted the allegation he was the real father of Liam, Mohbad’s son.
However, in a statement, Elegushi’s lawyer Adepeju Omotayo stressed that the traditional ruler had made peace with Aloba and wants justice for the late singer.
Omotayo said: “Kabiyesi will not allow anyone, regardless of their status or position in society, to tarnish his good name and reputation for any gain.”
Omotayo said Elegushi had never met nor interacted with Mohbad, his wife, nor any member of his family.
The monarch and Mohbad’s father settled their differences during a meeting at the Zone 2 headquarters of the police in Onikan, Lagos. Oba Elegushi was represented at the meeting by his lawyers.
Aloba was invited for questioning on the allegations he made against the monarch.
Omotayo said Elegushi displayed magnanimity by ensuring that Aloba was not detained.
Meanwhile, the trial of two persons accused of cyber-stalking the monarch over Mohbad will resume on July 5 at the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos.
Mohbad died on September 12, 2023 under controversial circumstances and was exhumed for autopsy.
