JULIANA: LIVING A LIFE OF PURITY

Nollywood actress Juliana Olayode, popularly known for her role as Toyo Babyin Jenifa’s Diary, has opened up about her personal journey of maintaining celibacy while navigating her acting career.

In a candid post shared on her Instagram page, Juliana admitted that remaining celibate is not as easy as many people assume, revealing that she often struggles with her natural desires but chooses to stay committed to her faith in God.

“Sometimes I just want sex, I want to get laid. When people talk to me about sex purity, I wonder if they think I don’t have blood flowing in my veins,” she wrote. “It’s not that I don’t want to be touched or have those feelings. It’s just that more than anything, I love and honor God, and I hate to hurt Him.”

The actress explained that her decision to remain celibate also influences her professional choices, as she carefully evaluates every movie role offered to her—especially those involving romantic or intimate scenes.
According to Juliana, her faith and moral values serve as the foundation of her decisions, even when facing pressure from the entertainment industry or her own emotions.

She added that living in a world filled with moral temptations makes it harder to uphold purity, but her love for God keeps her focused and determined to maintain her convictions.
“Every day I have to make a choice—not just in my relationships with the opposite sex and sometimes same sex, because sadly, we live in a world full of perverts. I have to make a choice in my career as well. Should I take the role or should I not take it?” she shared.
