MALAWI AUTHORITY VISITS NBC

The  Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority , led by the Director of Broadcasting Mr Zadziko Mankhambo, were at the National Broadcasting Commission’s Headquarters, Abuja on the 13^th  of February 2024 on an official visit to conduct a fact-finding mission in Nigeria.

During the visit, Mr. Mankhambo in his address stated that the purpose of their visit was to conduct a fact-finding mission in Nigeria aimed at exploring more efficient methods of regulating and monitoring the broadcast industry.

He expressed interest in understanding how the NBC effectively monitors broadcast activities across Nigeria despite the country’s large population and size.

The Director General NBC, Mr. Charles Ebuebu, welcomed the Malawian delegation and expressed his satisfaction with the opportunity to collaborate and exchange ideas regarding the broadcast industry. He assured the visiting team of the NBC’s support in achieving the objectives of their visit.

The Director of Engineering led both the management of the Commission  and the Malawian delegates on a tour of  monitoring equipment and facilities at the NBC headquarters.

This included a practical demonstration of the monitoring processes and technologies employed by the NBC in regulating the broadcast industry.
