UMAHI, JOURNALIST IN DRAMA

A clip has surfaced on the internet capturing the moment the Former Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi clashed with an Arise TV correspondent over her brilliant use of English.

Yesterday, the Minister of Works organized a media session to address social media controversy with regard to the ongoing Calabar-Lagos Coastal lane which is budgeted to eat up a whooping 2.4 Billion $ of the 2024 budget.

“Sister I was raised in the village, me I no dey hear “phone” – Minister of Works, Dave Umahi in his words remarked

In response, Laila explained to the minister that it was just her way of speaking.

Umahi then requested interpreters, but Laila insisted that he had enough people around him to help him understand what she was saying.

Following the exchange, Umahi addressed Laila’s question by asserting that they had obtained all the necessary approvals to commence the project.
