Some people are very ignorant and it is difficult to hide it.
Wálé Adénúgà created the Papa Ajasco brand in his Ikebe Super publication before Liz Da Silver was born.
In fact, the first onscreen Papa Ajasco was Peter Fátómilọ́lá, who went on to create an identity for himself after his Papa Ajasco days.
Mr Ayọ̀yínká only became #PapaAjasco circa 1997 which is more than two decades after the brand was created.
Why would he be given “little right of name” of the Papa Ajasco brand or whatever she said?
Very ignorant take!
“If he were your brother would you have kept the name Papa Ajasco forever and forever!” This is coming from a supposed creative.
Imagine a Kúnlé Bámtẹ́fá saying he could not do anything with his career because he was not allowed to use the Chief Fújì brand? Didn’t we all see the magic he did as Lagata in Ṣaworoide?
Before relocating abroad, didn’t we see how Báyọ̀ Bánkọ́lé who used to play Boy Alinco make a name for himself in the industry?
How about Ajírébi?
The man has been telling whoever cares to listen that despite being a household face before joining the series, Papa Ajasco actually gave him his best pay in the industry at the time and he still maintains his Ajírébi brand outside WAP.
Mr Abíọ́dún Ayọ̀yínká was a civil servant with Lagos state for many years. He was even the face of the state’s cultural troupe for ages which even endeared him to the likes of Aṣíwájú Bólá Tinúbú during his time as governor and his subsequent successors.
Unlike what is practically acceptable in the civil service, this man was allowed to undergo his private practice with Wálé Adénúgà for years without hindrance. Today, he is still feigning victim.
Did he get any gig with the Papa Ajasco brand and involve the owners of the brand legally without being allowed?
Or was he thinking he had to be allowed to make money with a brand name that wasn’t his without appropriate remissions?
This is the exact reason why we have intellectual property laws.
These people would have continued to indulge in anyhowness.
Someone should tell Liz Da-silva that it is alright to help the respected thespian all she wants but it is bland to want to pull an emotional attack on somebody who is also protecting his own work.
One would have expected her to know better though.
