BUKKY WRIGHT TALKS OF DIVORCE AND MENTAL HEALTH

Veteran Nollywood actress Bukky Wright has spoken out about the profound impact of loneliness on her mental health during her time in America. In a candid interview posted on Teju Babyface’s official YouTube channel, Wright shared her personal struggles.

She revealed that her experiences with divorce and loneliness led to a bout of depression after relocating to the United States. Wright’s heartfelt account offers a glimpse into the challenges she faced in a new environment.

Bukky Wright, during a discussion with media personality and comedian Teju Baby Face on the Teju Baby Face show, spoke about her battles with depression.

Bukky Wright opened up about her personal struggles, revealing that she had been taking depression medication to cope with a difficult issue.

She credited her children with playing a crucial role in her recovery, describing them as her primary source of support and critique. Wright expressed her deep love and appreciation for her children, stating that they reciprocated her feelings.

Wright’s children reportedly encouraged her to adopt a more relaxed approach to life, urging her to reduce stress and make time for enjoyment.

In her statement, she said, “It’s unfortunate that a lot of people have a different perception of me, and they don’t really know who I am. I’m a very private person, and sometimes my being private gets so lonely to the extent that my friends started calling me a boring person because I just want to sit somewhere on my own to watch movies, read, and write. I went through divorce, I was lonely, and I suffered depression in America. I’m not a very sociable person, I keep to myself a lot, and I don’t think a lot of people know that, and if you are a person like me, it’s easy to fall into depression.”
