This call was made at the International Art Fair held at the Ecobank Pan African Centre in Lagos, where she expressed admiration for the diverse artistic expressions showcased.

The minister pledged the ministry’s support for initiatives that foster value creation within the creative industry, assuring attendees of continued partnerships and encouragement.

Musawa emphasized the importance of providing young artists with necessary exposure and support to contribute to the nation’s economic growth.

As the Minister of Art, Culture and Creative Economy, Musawa oversees the promotion and development of the creative sector in Nigeria, as well as the preservation and display of the country’s cultural heritage.

She said, “This event beautifully reflects the richness of Nigeria’s emerging talent and creative ideology.

“It serves as a bridge to the future, drawing inspiration from our artistic heritage.

“This international Art Fair showcases a powerful evolution of storytelling and I am proud to witness the full expression of young Nigerian artists.”

The minister underscored the necessity of government involvement and active participation for the sustainable development of the art sector.

Her presence at the fair’s second edition, she noted, signified the administration’s commitment to elevating Nigeria’s creative industry on the global stage.

She assured that the government would provide comprehensive support to position the industry appropriately within the international community.
