FOR THOSE WHO LABOUR, JESUS SAYS, COME…BY LADI AYODEJI

It’s interesting that the saviour of the world, Jesus Christ,is the one calling the sinner, who desperately needs to be saved.

Jesus says in Matthew 11:28-30, “Come to me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

In this scriptures Jesus , promises rest and relief. He encourages us to take on His yoke, learn from Him, and find rest for our souls. Jesus’ yoke is described as easy, and His burden is light.

Jesus said,Come unto me all ye that labour…Even if you already accept Jesus as your Lord and savior; you may still labour in other areas of life.

Some labour with alcohol, some with lies, others with sexual immorality. Many people labour with different kinds of sins and challenges; Jesus says, ‘Come, I will give you rest’. Regardless of your area of labour; to labour is to struggle and to suffer, but Jesus says, Come unto me, and I will give you rest.

The Lord Jesus Christ is not judging you; he is not condemning you. All he has promised you is rest from all your sorrows. But, you have to accept him, first and foremost,as your Lord and savior.

That’s the simple condition; nothing really complicated; nothing tasking or difficult.

Just accept Jesus as your saviour and you shall have rest for your soul. That rest is comprehensive, all encompassing. Nobody gives you this kind of lofty offer. Only Jesus has ever given anyone salvation of the soul. If you accept him today, you will be glad you did.
