GALAXY RADIO DEBUTS AUGUST 1ST

Galaxy Radio 99.1 FM, the latest addition to Nigeria’s broadcast industry, is set to begin full commercial transmission on August 1, 2025. The station is located along Allen Avenue in Ikeja, Lagos.

A subsidiary of the Galaxy Media Hub, Galaxy Radio 99.1 aims to further expand the company’s footprint in the country’s media landscape. Galaxy Media Hub is also the parent company of Galaxy Television, Nigeria’s first privately registered television station, with operations in Ibadan, Oyo State, and Lagos, where it broadcasts on Channel 27.

Industry watchers say the launch of Galaxy Radio 99.1 will boost the vibrancy of radio broadcasting in Lagos, bringing fresh content and competition to the airwaves.

Galaxy Media Hub is chaired by veteran media entrepreneur, Mr. Steve Ojo.
