JOKE SILVA: OLU JACOBS IS MY BEST FRIEND

Nigerian actress Joke Silva, wife of veteran actor Pa Olu Jacobs, has shared heartfelt insights into their 39-year marriage.

In a recent interview, she reflected on the ups and downs of their relationship, emphasizing the importance of acceptance, love, and care.

“We have been married for 39 years, but we have known each other for 43 years because we dated for 5 years before getting married. It wasn’t easy when we first started. At a point, we had to come to an agreement, that is, accepting things the way they are.

To be honest, when my husband has the strength, he was an amazing father and a good husband to me. He is my best friend, and I could and still discuss anything with him.”

She also described her husband as her best friend, highlighting their strong bond. Despite the challenges that come with aging, she has taken on a caregiving role, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to their relationship.

“So at this stage, it’s more like I’m taking care of my father, not just a husband. The husband I married is not still there, but the person I’m seeing is someone I love. It’s my turn to care for him; he’s mine, and he deserves love. Once every woman understands this at old age, you won’t abandon your man.”
