MEETING THE BON EXECUTIVE SECRETARY

Dr Yemisi Bamgbose, the Executive Secretary of the Broadcasting Organizations of Nigeria, BON, started his broadcasting career at the Ogun State Television (OGTV) Abeokuta, where he rose to the position of Assistant General Manager.

He was later transferred to the Ogun State Ministry of Information as the Director of Information and Strategy before he was appointed as a Permanent Secretary. He retired from the civil service of Ogun State in 2018.

Yemisi Bamgbose was a two tenure National President of the Radio, Television and Theatre Arts Union of Nigeria (RATTAWU) and a retired Permanent Secretary in the Ogun State Civil Service.

He had equally served in various capacities among which were, National Auditor, Nigeria Labour Congress, 2015To Member, African Representative in the Media and Entertainment Union International, 2012-2016 among others.

Yemisi Bamgbose holds a Diploma in Mass Communication, University of Lagos, Bachelor of Science Degree(Bsc) Guidance and Counseling ,Olabisi Onabanjo University, Masters in Personal Psychology, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Masters in Mass Communication, Babcock University and Doctor of Philosophy, Ph.D Applied Psychology, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye.

As the Executive Secretary of BON, Dr. Yemisi Bamgbose oversees the daily management of the organisation which comprises of government and private owned broadcast media in Nigeria.
