OGA BELLO’S WIFE: LIFE OUTSIDE ACTING

Veteran actress Yinka Adebayo has finally spoken about the real reasons she left the movie industry for more than two decades. In her emotional revelation, she shared personal struggles, industry challenges, and the journey that led to her eventual reconciliation with her husband, the legendary actor Oga Bello.

“I Married Oga Bello in 1980 Without Knowing the Full Situation at Home”.

According to Madam Yinka, she married Oga Bello in 1980 believing he had only one wife — the mother of Actor Femi Adebayo.
She explained that it was only later she discovered that there were already several wives at home.

“I never knew he had multiple wives. I thought it was just one. It was later I found out that ‘iyawo wa niwaju mi repete,’” she said.

How Her Marriage Issues Affected Her Acting Career.

Madam Yinka revealed that during her marital challenges, many of her colleagues in the movie industry stopped calling her for roles.

She said what hurt her the most was that:

No one reached out to mediate between her and her husband

No one tried to restore peace

Some of her female colleagues whom she considered close friends did not support her

She specifically mentioned that except for Madam Saje, who continued checking on her, many others distanced themselves.

“It shocked me because these were people I thought were my friends. Some even pitched their tent with my husband because he was the TAMPAN President then.”

“I Suffered, But God Lifted Me”.

Reflecting on her long break from Nollywood, she said the experience was painful, but God has since blessed her life.

“I suffered in the industry, but I thank God today. I am doing well outside the movie industry, and my children are doing well too. I even just returned from the UK last month.”

Reconciliation With Oga Bello.

Despite the stormy past, Madam Yinka happily confirmed that she and her husband are back together and at peace.

“Myself and my husband, Oga Bello, are back again, and we are all doing fine.”

Her story sheds light on the realities faced by many women balancing family life and a career, especially in the entertainment world.
