SHINA PETERS: I’M AT PEACE THAN JIM OVIA

Sir Shina Peters, a veteran Nigerian musician, has stated that there was an article written years ago claiming that he used 20 million naira to build a house the same year Jim Ovia used 20 million to start Zenith bank.

In an interview with The Honest Bunch Podcast on Glitch Africa Studios, Sir Peters said he lives a more peaceful life today compared to Jim Ovia. He said people who manage money in banks have a very tough job but his own lifestyle as a musician allows him to rest well. He said after performing on stage, he comes back home, sleeps peacefully, swims, and enjoys himself.

In Sir Peters’ words: “I think you maybe read the article of between me and the Director of Zenith Bank. Jim Ovia, that the same year Jim Ovia used 20 million naira to start banking, Shina Peters used his own 20 million naira to build a mansion. I don’t know who came with the idea.
If Jim Ovia used his 20 million naira to start a bank and I Shina Peters used 20 million naira to build a house, now today tell me between two of us who is more peaceful? I am more peaceful because to manage human being is still better than to manage money”
