A Magistrate Court in Ibadan, Oyo State Capital, has ordered the remand of skit maker Abdulahi Maruff Adisa, better known as Trinityguy, in prison over allegation of sexualising minor in his viral skit video.
Appearing before the Magistrate, Oludare Adebayo, counsel to the defendant urged the court to grant his client bail.
The Magistrate, while denying the bail application, stated that the allegation against the skit maker is currently receiving attention of the State Ministry of Justice.
The court also ordered that the parents of the little girl in the video be remanded alongside Trinityguy till next sitting which is adjourned till July 11, 2023.
The controversial skit maker recently caused a stir on the internet. The video from Trinityguy features a minor, drawing criticisms and accusations of inappropriate behaviour.
