YOUNG ACTOR TACKLES EDOCHIE

Nollywood actor, Uche Maduagwu has taken a strong stance against veteran actor Pete Edochie over his remarks on the failed marriages of some Nollywood actresses.

Pete Edochie had recently expressed his disappointment and concern over failed marriages of his junior colleagues, including Chioma Chukwuka Akpotha, Ireti Doyle, and Tonto Dikeh during an interview with Chude Jideonwo.

Pete Edochie said he was shocked when he learnt that another Nollywood actress, Chioma Chukwuka has separated from her husband.

He questioned the commitment of the actresses to their marital vows, suggesting that they easily opted to leave their marriages rather than weather the storms of the troubles in their homes.

Pete Edochie‘s comments triggered a viral response, with many fans and fellow actors sharing their opinions on the matter. Uche Maduagwu emerged as one of the most vocal critics, accusing Pete Edochie of hypocrisy and double standards.

Maduagwu pointed out that Pete Edochie seemed to overlook the challenges within his own family, specifically referencing his son Yul Edochie’s reported marital issues. Maduagwu suggested that before admonishing others, Pete Edochie should address the actions of his own kin, particularly Yul Edochie’s alleged involvement in a public dispute with his wife.

Moreover, Uche Maduagwu disagreed with Pete Edochie’s perspective on marriage, asserting that marital relationships should be sources of enjoyment rather than endurance. He expressed his dismay at what he deemed an insensitive tone in Pete Edochie’s interview and criticized him for not addressing certain familiar matters before scrutinizing others.
