NBC ATTENDS ARCON CONFERENCE

The Director General of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), Mr. Charles Ebuebu, attended the 5th Edition of the National Advertising Conference 2025, held at the Abuja Continental Hotels, Abuja.

The conference, themed, “Marketing Communication: Transforming Businesses and Creating Growth in Challenging Times,” is a premier gathering of leaders in the marketing, communications, and allied industries.

Declaring the event opened, the Honourable Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mallam Mohammed Idris, highlighted the crucial role advertising and communication professionals play in shaping public perception, fostering development, and promoting national unity. He linked the industry’s impact to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, emphasizing that effective communication is vital for achieving national goals such as innovation, industrialization, and inclusive growth.

Mallam Idris further called for stronger collaboration between the government and the advertising industry to promote national values, counter misinformation, and uphold responsible and ethical advertising practices in the digital era.

He encouraged creativity, innovation, and social responsibility among practitioners, reaffirming the government’s commitment to transparency.

The conference, scheduled to hold from November 12th – 14th, 2025, will feature insightful panel discussions, Networking, and exhibitions.

The conference, organized by the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON), is a forum for professionals in marketing, advertising, media planning and buying, broadcasting, academia, journalism, government, and culture, alongside students and other key stakeholders.
